Leonardo da Vinci Catapult Kit

Catapults were first invented in Ancient Greek and Roman times, however our common idea of them is based on drawings we have from the Medieval Ages. This catapult is one of da Vinci’s redesigns from the medieval catapults of 400 or so years earlier. While the Medieval catapult we made uses the force of twisted rope, this uses the springlike energy stored in bent wood to give power to the swing arm. – usually over 15 feet. With no modifications you can experiment with flinging grapes, and those fun mini marshmallows too! A great way to introduce graphing for kids!
